Members cooperatively run (and print at!) our community-access studio. If you want to be involved in our community in a hands-on way, this is the way to do it!
Benefits:
access to the studio and available lockers and flat file storage
contribute to the direction and input of the Press Co-op through collaboratively managing the studio and programming
member activities including exhibitions, skillshares, projects, drawing nights, etc.
eligible for member opportunities (including commissions and collaborations)
eligible and are given priority to teach workshops and private lessons through the ICPC studio
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
A working member:
• volunteers on average 8 hours per month in committee work, studio monitoring, programming, etc.
• 24/7 studio access
• contributes $25/month
A supporting member:
• has circumstances that do not allow for ongoing volunteer roles
• 24/7 studio access
• contributes $50/month
A sustaining member:
• wants to be involved in the community but does not need regular studio access
• receives ICPC updates and news and can participate in ICPC projects/exhibitions/etc.
• contributes minimum of $10/month
*If you want to join at any membership level but the price is prohibitive please let us know and we will work something out.
Membership meet-ups are once a month on the second Sunday at 4:30pm (unless it lands on a major holiday and then it’s held on the third Sunday of the month). They are open to the public. If you are interested in joining please feel free to attend a meeting!
USE THE STUDIO
Open Studio is the second Saturday of each month from 12-4pm and costs $20 for non-members and $10 for PS1 members to use ICPC space and equipment.
It’s also a time for anyone to stop by and get a free studio tour!
If you’d like to use the studio, advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Open Studio participants must also be proficient in the studio area(s) they’re using.
